The Tourist Guide who are allocated to parties are appointed to best suite the clients touring needs, so should you require a specialist Tourist Guide, please be sure to mention this upon your request.

THE JOURNEY

My name is Brittney Buys and I’m Cape Town born. I’ve been introduced to the Tourism industry at a young age and this unleashed a passion for my country and people of the world.

I completed High School and right after enrolled at Varsity College to pursue a Tourism and Tour Operations Diploma, which allowed me to explore every corporate aspect, Tourism Management, Business Management, Marketing, Destination Management etc. and learn about the nine South African Provinces and its neighbouring countries. After graduation I worked as a Manager at Horn Of Africa Curio Shop in Table Mountain for three years and day to day contact with industry people and guests made me certain I wanted to become a Tourist Guide.

Today I hold a Tourist Guide Qualification obtained for the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Gauteng and Limpopo provinces. My long-term goal is to become a nationally qualified Tourist Guide and learn to speak Dutch.

After doing two months of Tourist Guide Training with an industry leader I started living my dream as a Tourist Guide since August 2016. I specialized in scheduled, private and incentive groups. I have also been exposed to the Operations and Consulting for the very same industry leader and believe this has provided me with a well-rounded knowledge of on the road and logistical experience to create the best unique experiences for clients.

Being young in the industry I live by a moto “Discover to Learn”, I take guests on a journey of discovering new places, people and things that gives them not only a tour but an experience.
